This fish was my 1st meeting with a Filambase Parrot fish. Its enormous size, its tranquility and its form initially made me believe it was a Napoleon. However, even though the shape of a Napoleon is somewhat similar, it belongs to the family of Wrasse (Labridae) which, to my knowledge, do not eat the coral. It was indeed not the case of many other kind of Parrot fish which I observed thereafter. The latter arrived suddenly on a reef, in rather impressive shoal, and crunched abundantly on the many coral potatoes which were available to them and which they seemed to defecate almost at once, then they set out again as they had come,  abandoning the site not without scars.
