Blacktip reef Shark Carcharhinus Melopterus Carcharhinidae
The Blacktip reef shark is generally inoffensive but attacks have been reported (in particular not far from “shark feeding” places …) I crossed many Blacktip reef sharks in Perhentians but the latter were particularly apprehensive and thus difficult to photograph. It should be said that on these islands, baby sharks are very (too often!) often served on the menu .As far as that goes a less than one meter long shark is not adult, and one is never forced to eat any, word to the wise…
