Underwater fauna of Thailand

With its double maritime frontage, one on the Andaman Sea (Indian Ocean) and the other on the Gulf of Siam (Pacific Ocean), its enchanting islands, its diversified coral reefs, Thailand did not steal its reputation of being a paradise of diving. One negative observation however, I have been there on several occasions and noted that mass tourism and climatic changes (El Niño amongst other things) could have a serious impact on the perenniality of its reef ecosystems. Nevertheless, Thailand remains a choice destination for discovering underwater fauna while free diving, as testifies the following galleries.
Typical fish of coral reefs, butterfly fish are recognizable by their small size, their prominent mouth and their sharp colors. This family counts many representatives with varied forms, find 7 different species here.
In order to avoid being seen, certain have chosen camouflage, others, more visible hide in holes. Difficult to locate, rather easy to approach.
