The photographs presented here after certainly do not all have an esthetic value, they are often the fruit of a meeting and it is the instantaneous aspect of this meeting to which I wished to testify. To date, access 267 photographs presenting 148 species characteristical of the presented zones. Then, choose your destination and plunge into the water!

The underwater photographs which you can reach in this section were gathered according to the dwelling places of the species presented. Thus, I made the choice to distinguish underwater fauna from the Mediterranean (France, Malta), of that present in coral reefs (Belize, Malaysia, Thailand). For each country, you will find galleries grouping species according to characteristics which are individual to them : gregarious or solitary fauna, small reef fauna, frequent species or pertaining to the same family, hidden species, etc
While clicking on the miniature images of each gallery, you will access information relating to the species photographed : common name, scientific name, date and place the photo was taken. Certain species were particularly difficult to identify, also, in spite of the seriousness with which I have undertaken this research, I am not a biologist and it may be possible that some information is erroneous. If you come across any errors, thanks you in advance for telling me and excuse for that.
All the photos were taken between 0 and 12 meters, the majority were taken in the 8 meters zone, notably for questions of luminosity. Each species was photographed in its natural environment, and to in no case have I used a subterfuge to attract them (see:  my point of view on feeding in the Photography and Free diving section).
